The Kite Runner

OK, so going to Afghanstan probably isn't a holiday option. Still, this book makes you wish that it was. The author clearly has an intense love of the country and it's people. It has opened my eyes to a culture surviving in a political situation. Excellent writing, and if I can ever bear to finish it, I'm told an uplifting ending.

I loved both of these books set in Afghanistan. Made me really interested in the culture and the people - and how hard and despite how cruel life has been for the people of Afghanistan, it leaves you with a feeling of warmth and hope for the human race... Highly recommended. Five out of five!!!

I found this book absolutely brilliant. Read it all, you won't regret it.
